Tips for Lifting: What Not To Do

Tips for Lifting: What Not To Do

on

Oh hi March…bye March! Spring has sprung where we are and the birds are singing. Ya girl is bright eyed, bushy tailed, and busy as a honeybee. She got clients, commissions, and kindness from the community. It seems like the year has only just begun! And you know, I do feel sometimes like my life in general has just started. In ways, beginning with my decision to transition nearly three years ago. And this will be my year, I can feel it despite the haters and what’s wrong with the world.  Imma wear TransTape to lift and to do what I want.

I’ve met some milestones already this year, and a new chapter has arrived. The last step in healing is to enjoy your life, and bb we’re gonna thrive. Bless.

I’ve been recording bands, modeling, making music videos and art, oh and I’m currently releasing an album with Charli, as our band Grave Girls over the course of this year. I started a distribution label through my studio. A ton of music will be released this year with my name on it. Consistency is key, and that means taking care of yourself. I can only encourage.

Life is a garden, what you grow might amaze you. As for me, today I feel like a delicate flower, fresh after a soft spring rain. Don’t forget to follow through with finding your own happiness and space in the world. So dig it. Follow me for more gardening tips. But seriously, don’t doubt yourself, you got this. Sometimes it’s what you don’t do that matters. And that brings me to the first point in this article about gardening. Just kidding, we’re talking about 10 tips of what not to do with TransTape when using it to lift. Oh ok, fine we’ll make it both ways.

  1. Don’t doubt yourself, and trust the tape. It can be daunting at first, but I love using TransTape to lift. I love the boost of confidence I get from it. Especially before performing or going out which usually is at someone else’s show haha I’m such a nerd. But anyway, TransTape is really great for this purpose mainly because of the high quality of adhesive that keeps everything in place. It will generally last all day, even while sweating and being active. You know, like while you’re in the garden.

  2. Try not to forget to clean the application area before you put it on. When possible do your business sis but your body’s natural oils could potentially have an effect on the tape and how long it lasts through the day. I personally find that with just general hygiene the tape is plenty effective. A fruitful pursuit.

  3. Don’t overdo it. We talked in a previous article about applying the tape so I won’t go into much specific detail. But you’ll get your best results for lifting when you align with the curves your body naturally gives, just gently pull your boob up and towards your center and place the tape down by slightly stretching it across from the starting point below your armpit to the center of your chest. You’ll soon see how your bust ‘grows,’ with just a little care and maintenance.

  4. Don’t forget to seal the tape down with your fingers. This will help the tape last longer and maintain rigidity…oh why did I have to make it sound dirty now. Sorry everybody. I’ve got a lot on my mind right now. I mean. Eggplants or something.

  5. Never remove the TransTape without using oil.  Any natural oil will do but I highly recommend the Jojoba seed oil TransTape sells. See that one sells itself. It’s made from Jojoba seeds, so it's a natural product, smells great, and works wonders. The oil itself just feels good, I think.

  6. Don’t be hasty with the tape-sy. You’ll thank me later. In spades. Too easy? At least I didn’t make a joke earlier about hoeing. Ok, ok. But seriously it just takes a little patience, sometimes. If the tape isn’t easily pulling off you either need more oil or to wait a little longer. Be patient bb. Your tatas will thank me.

  7. Don’t be afraid to play! If that’s your thing. As a lifelong artist I am a fan of basically all types of play but we’re talking about sex. You can use TransTape as a strapping adhesive with your favorite toy. But here’s where I can’t help but again recommend the Jojoba oil. I love to have my partner take off the tape for me when I lift, it can be a sensual experience. And it gets her hands near my tits which is like, kinda the point. The Jojoba oil is natural and moisturizing. It feels soft and works great for massage, which is a surefire way to get me hot and bothered, if you’re taking notes. It also works as a personal lubricant and is not only safe for lube, but a long lasting option and works great with condoms too. Just don't get it in your eyes. So spread the love around (like seeds?), and have fun!

  8. Don’t wait for the right time to start. I recommend the starter kit, if you’re a hesitant buyer. But don’t get me wrong, TransTape is the best in the business and you’ll love it for whatever your needs whether lifting, tucking, packing, binding or play. Ok, so two tomatoes are chilling on the vine, one says to the other, “Do you think it’s hot in this greenhouse?,” the other one says, “Oh my god, a talking tomato!”

  9. Speaking of business. Don’t forget to share, and support trans owned businesses like TransTape and support your trans friends. We need to strengthen our community and become resilient together. Being trans is not easy to navigate, but can be a very rewarding life choice. As I said, I feel like my life’s just beginning. I am growing to become the beautiful flower I know I am and it’s a beautiful thing to see.

  10. Don’t forget to play music for your plants. I recommend the new Grave Girls album me and Charli are releasing across this year, Empress of a Shattered Glass. Five songs are already available on streaming or wherever you listen to music. Seven, if you’re reading this after April first.

Thanks for reading!

Don’t forget your crown, princess.
