I love TransTape as a fat person and a person with asthma! Traditional compression binding garments were quite literally detrimental to my respiratory and musculoskeletal health but with no other option, I chose to suffer and struggle for breath until I discovered TransTape in 2018. After some practice I got the hang of my application and threw out all my binders! I was free! I could breathe! I could move and stretch and not worry during long strenuous shifts at work. I finally felt like a person living life instead of a hermit whose constant thoughts were about my chest and who could see it at any given time. TransTape freed me from that and gave me 5 comfortable years until I was able to get top surgery. I was not expecting to experience such an increase in my quality of life, but I'm eternally grateful that I did. Thank you so much TransTape!

I wore a traditional chest binder for 2 years before I found TransTape and let me tell you… While I was affirmed, I was very uncomfortable. I felt like someone was stepping on my chest and claustrophobic getting them on and off. But because it was better than dysphoria, I tolerated it. But then @trans_tape changed the game for me. It was nice to not be at war just to breathe deeply or look down at my chest. I’ll recommend this product long after I get top surgery.

I love the versatility that TransTape offers me in the different arenas of my life. On stage, the skin tone and tattoo print provides me with the chest illusion to go along with my drag king persona. In my regular life, the bright colors allow to me to hike and swim unencumbered like bras and bikini tops do. Transtape gives me the ability to fully expand my lungs while feeling the sun on my chest. With Transtape, I am able to live an active life.

I use TransTape because I love how the shade matches my skin! It also really helpful with euphoria in the gym. I don’t have to worry about shirts exposing my chest, and the tape also contours my chest to show off my pec gains.

I started off using a binder. Binders to me were always something that made me feel less of who I really am. It was always a constant struggle before I came across a product that a friend recommended to me which was TransTape. TransTape has actually completely transformed not only my mental state, but how I'm able to go through my life. At first I tried TransTape and it was a little rough around the edges no nobody's perfect you know what I mean so there's a couple trial and errors, tried a couple different sizes, but eventually once I finally got it going and figured out what I needed, I was able to go to the gym I was able to get that confidence that I could even go into the men's locker room and take a shower. And I wouldn't think twice about it because the confidence that I actually got from TransTape completely changed how much effort I put into myself. How I felt about myself, and honestly without it, you know who knows where I would be. It's definitely better than a binder and it gives you that freedom to actually go about. That feeling of not having  a binder what feels like a bra anymore, so you can wear a shirt and you can't see anything and it just gives you the confidence that there's no price on

Why I chose transtape? It literally saved my life. Seriously I felt SO free and confident with it on whilst waiting for top surgery. Also very happy I never had pain taking it off, never had a rash. Transtape is just perfect. And now with packing I don’t have to worry taking out the harnass out off my bum crack haha, no really using transtape for packing is a life saver for me as well. Very gratefull for you guys.

TransTape allowed me to wear shirts that I didn’t feel comfortable in before & able to WEAR it with an OPEN CHEST, CONFIDENTLY. I’ll never forget one of the first nights I wore an open chest that wasn’t for a Drag show, I went to the Lizzo concert with my girlfriend & her friends in an embroidered sequin jacket! It was such an exhilarating & euphoric experience! It was one of the first times I felt like the real me and genuinely felt happy with my chest out in public. TransTape has literally changed the way I live my everyday life and significantly improved my relationship with my body, particularly my chest. I’ve been contemplating top surgery for years as a potential option for me in the future but it just doesn’t feel like that’s the route I want to take (for now)… My athletic life has also significantly changed due to binding with TransTape, now I finally feel like I can take off my shirt or wear a mesh shirt confidently when I’m working out or playing sports at the park! I feel so liberated when exercising with TransTape, it literally makes an active lifestyle more appealing to me. Side note, the new printed transtape IS PERFECT FOR ME and makes me feel even more euphoric than the plain tape. I’ve also been experimenting with rhinestone nipples both in and out of drag which has been a lot of fun and also allowing me to express myself more accurately. Discovering Transtape was the impetus for me to learn that while I absolutely LOVE binding for my Social identity/public self, I also learned that I actually really enjoy having “tits” in my personal and sexual life. I feel like experimenting with TransTape and developing a relationship with my body through the use of TransTape has led me to learning myself on a deeper & more intimate layer in both my social and private life. Binding with TransTape allows me to experience the beauty of both worlds, by having a flat chest (more masculine presenting chest) in social situations while also enjoying my chest in my private life where that part of my body is not gendered by me or my partner(s). This discovery was a lengthy journey for me and may change with time but has ultimately made me feel more at ease with my experience in this body.

Wearing transtape has freed me up to do my work without sweaty bra discomfort. If it gets hot out in the garden, i can take my shirt off with little to no anxiety! I also get read as male in casual interactions, which usually lends me some authority (lol thanks patriarchy, i’m one of the boys now).
