With the near year just beginning, I thought this would be a good time to review some of the brand new things that you can enjoy throughout 2025! TransTape is always improving thanks to TransTape users like you. There are a few things to be excited for in 2025, ESPECIALLY the new international warehouse that will help with shipping!
Â
Hello!
Â
And welcome back to a brand new year of gender affirming greatness.
Â
Things this year may seem to be starting off a little rocky, but TransTape isn't going anywhere!
Â
Towards the end of 2024, we had a couple new products hit the market and even acquired an international warehouse.
So exciting!
Â
So in case you missed it with all of the insanity of the holiday season, among many other things, I thought you might wanna catch up a little bit!
Â
And in case this is your first time here, we're also going to go over what exactly TransTape is.
Â
Cheers to 2025!
Â
Â
You've probably heard it a million times, but we're going to talk about what exactly TransTape is for all of the new users here.
Â
TransTape is theeeeee original body-transformation system!
Â
It's a backless, strapless and waterproof alternative to binders, bras, gaffes and other self-affirming products.
Â
If you're someone who packs or tucks, TransTape can also replace expensive pairs of packing and tucking underwear!
Â
The fabric to this amazing stuff is made from a blend of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, making it comfortable and flexible.
Â
And to keep this fabric attached to our delicate skin, TransTape uses a hypoallergenic medical grade acrylic adhesive that is latex free and non-medicated.
Â
Phew, that last part is always a lot.
Â
TransTape is made with the user in mind.
Â
And what I mean by that is, it's made with everyone in mind.
Â
Everyone can use TransTape, whether you use it to ease gender dysphoria or replace an overpriced bra that isn't even comfortable.
Â
TransTape is for everybody, and don't forget it!
Â
Regardless of your lifestyle, from an adventure craving daredevil to a relaxed homebody, TransTape has you covered.
Â
Workout in the gym, float in the ocean, read a book in your favorite chair or do all three this week with the same application!
Â
Â
Yes!
Â
Now that I've got you up to speed on the very basics of TransTape, we can talk about the juicy stuff.
Â
Like the new XL size roll!
For a while now, there have been just a few requests for a larger size tape.
Â
So after getting some requests for a larger size, TransTape has listened and delivered!
Â
Instead of only offering the SM (3in), MD (4in) and LG (5in), there will now be an XL (7in) roll offered in all skin tones.
Â
WOOOOOOOOO!
Â
What exactly makes a larger size beneficial and exciting, though?
Â
And are you hinting at a new skin tone, too?
Â
Thank you so much for asking, and yes.
Â
Â
For chest binding, this could mean using fewer strips of tape.
Â
I know we all love to save some tape during application, myself included.
Â
And if you're someone who has a larger chest and has struggled with TransTape in the past, this could be your sign to give it another try!
Â
And don't be afraid to reach out to the help-desk through the chat option on the website for some application assistance!
Â
Having an additional 2 inches in width could completely change the way you tape!
Â
And possibly change the way you feel while taped!
Â
Maybe you're someone who has been using two strips of tape on each side for a while and you want to give the one strip technique a try.
Â
Or, maybe you just want to feel more secure and covered while taping.
Â
Either way, there's no wrong reason to give it a try, use whatever size you want for whatever reason!
Â
I personally find the new XL size super exciting because there are so many people who are going to feel more confident about giving TransTape a try now.
Â
So if you've ever thought to yourself that you were, "too big," to try TransTape, give it another thought and maybe another chance!
Â
The XL size for binding is already a massive plus, but the packing and tucking benefits are just as fantastic.
Â
If you already use TransTape, you already know the process can be like an arts and crafts project sometimes.
Â
And I mean that in the most loving way, I love using TransTape!
Â
But, depending on your packing pecker of choice, you may have some issues with the tape keeping the packer secured to your skin.
Â
Some John's are just a little too big, you know?
Â
For example, I have an STP (stand to pee) with a lot of prosthetic material at the top so it blends and contours better with my body.
Â
This makes the packer a decent bit heavier than some, but also a lot harder to cover with TransTape because there's so much extra prosthetic skin at the top.
Â
The extra two inches in the XL roll will completely take away my need for an additional strip with this STP.
Â
I love saving tape and convenience.
Â
And if you tuck with TransTape, this can be a major help to you as well!
Â
The wider strips will allow more area to be covered with one piece and you'll likely feel much more secure with wider strips.
Â
And depending on your method, you might even end up saving some tape in the process by cutting the pieces in halves or thirds!
Â
Similar to binding, having a little extra width on the tape can help you feel more secure and comfortable on the daily.
Â
And let's be real, who doesn't need a little extra security and comfort right now?
Â
That's right!
Â
This brand new skin tone will be in between 002 and 003 and will be the fifth natural skin tone that TransTape has to offer and listed as 2.5!
Â
In my personal opinion, one of the coolest things about TransTape is how it can blend in with your skin and be almost, sometimes completely, unnoticeable.
Â
Most people don't question it or notice it with just a quick glance!
Â
A lot of people don't pay as close attention to strangers like we think they do, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a massive relief when it blends in.
Â
That's why TransTape offers a variety of tones and colors.
Â
Skin tones 001, 002, 2.5, 003 004, black, white, pink, purple, blue, green AND inked.
Â
My favorites are black and inked, in case you were wondering.
Â
But before the customized tones came around, there once was a time where there were non-customized tones.
Â
I don't remember the exact names of those old tones, but who cares? They're in the past and we got bigger and better things now!
Â
And did I just say customized?
Yes!
Â
When it comes to skin tones, many companies only offer the default, pre-made tones and those are usually something along the lines of light, medium and dark.
Â
There's nothing inherently wrong with those options and I'm not shaming anyone who prefers them or opts to use them, but they aren't usually the most accurate representations of the real skin tones of real people.
Â
And, well, there are a lot of us real people running around this planet after all.
Â
So TransTape went the extra mile and opted to create their own skin tones in order to offer their customers with the most accurate representation possible.
Â
Gender and identity affirming angels are working for TransTape, didn't you know?
Â
Creating a skin tone is no easy task, either.
Â
You can't just walk down the street to the skin tone store and pick your favorites, blasphemy right?
Â
Creating a skin tone requires trial runs, countless samples and most of all, patience.
Â
This process can take up to a year, and even longer!
Â
The suppliers even traveled to meet with the team to ensure the tone was exactly what they were looking for!
Â
I'm telling you, TransTape takes this seriously.
Â
Sample after sample, color layering after color layering, the new tone was born and is available to order for everyone.
Â
Â
I got you.
Â
Inked tape used to come in just white and black and then it switched to one of the lighter skin tones with black.
Â
That is no more.
The inked TransTape will now come in every skin tone!
Â
Including the newest one, of course.
Â
And don't even get me started on the nipple guards, people.
Â
The 10 packs of nipple guards that come with every roll of TransTape will still be included, but they will now match the skin tone of the roll you purchased!
Â
However, that does not apply to the colors or inked. The nipple guards will only be available in corresponding skin tones.
Â
Â
Don't worry, I didn't forget about you, friends.
Â
International shipping is a little bit different than domestic.
Â
To see stores where you can purchase TransTape outside the US right now, check out this page with authenticated wholesalers.
Â
The reason international shipping is a little bit different, is because every country has its own set of rules.
Lame.
Â
Meaning, every country requires taxes and duties to be paid.
Â
The amount of taxes required by a country is determined by a few different factors.
Â
Value-Added Tax (VAT), country of manufacture, product value, trade agreements and more.
Every country is different and these are factors that can't be controlled by TransTape.
Â
If it could be controlled, it would be!
Â
But alas, it can't be.
Â
However, don't lose hope!
Â
Because TransTape now has an international warehouse which will help with international shipping costs!
Â
As far as international shipping and the new warehouse goes, I think that covers everything.
Â
Sometimes the new year feels like starting over, but I don't believe that to be the case.
Â
At least not every year.
Â
Every year brings us the opportunity to invest in ourselves and build on all of the hard work we do.
Â
It's really hard work being yourself!
Â
A new year comes with change, but change isn't always bad.
Â
Clearly, have you seen all the cool new changes TransTape has been making?
Â
Let's decide now that 2025 is going to be the year where we all focus on self-care and living authentically.
Â
I'm down if you are.
Â
Until next time,
Â
Stay awesome.
Â
Stay beautiful.
Â
Stay you.
Â
You are loved and it gets better.
Â
Talk to you soon,
Â
