About The Art:

"I made this piece to embody everything I wish to be in my transition while honouring everything I was before. Before my top surgery, I would bind with TransTape instead of binders because it allowed me the freedom that a binder couldn't offer, and it made me feel like I wasn't actually binding. This piece is intended to convey the sense of freedom I felt during that time. The body and the cowboy hat represent the masculinity I wish to achieve, while the flowers and ferns represent the femininity of what I was and that I still carry with me, showing that the two can coexist in beautiful harmony."

Meet The Artist:

"A little info about myself, I’m a neurodiverse gay trans artist. I use he/him pronouns. I have been drawing LGBT & body positivity-focused artwork pretty much since I began my transition in 2014, and my aim with art is to bring more representation of all kinds of queer people to the art world."
