His works center on themes of transmasculinity, mental health, and queer life. In his spare time, he is a collector of graphic novels, participates in local activism, and loves making his own paper (yes, really). About The Art:
"This piece came from a three-part series of gouache paintings from 2022. Each painting featured a variation of a transmasculine pre-op/no-op bare chest; I found that, while there is art featuring transmasc bodies, most were of post-op folks. It felt discouraging, it felt as if we, as transmasc people, aren't allowed to be visible unless we've had medical procedures already done. I wanted to make sure I highlighted a chest that used TransTape because there isn't enough visibility of them. I was even hesitant about trying at first, mainly because I didn't know anyone who did it or had many references to work off of. As someone who binds daily, TransTape was a complete gamechanger. If I had known how much range it had 5 years ago, I probably would have gotten the confidence to be shirtless outdoors sooner. There is so much variety and beauty with our bodies, showing their range is important especially now. There isn't just one way to bind, or to be trans for that matter, it's what works best for you and your own needs."
