Artist: Miles Sarick (They/He - @cowboykissr)

"I’m a transmasc non-binary artist in Western New York that specializes in painting, digital painting and graphic design. I hope to be a comic illustrator some day! I live in Buffalo, New York and I volunteer at a cat shelter during my free time. I’m also a part of a queer-centered booking venue called The Lavender Room, where we give mutual aid to lgbt and marginalized people."

About The Art:

"My artwork is called “Held” because trans tape held not only my chest but my mental stability together as I waited for top surgery. At many times in my transition, I viewed trans tape as an annoyance, just another thing I have to do to feel comfortable with myself. But looking back not only was I so grateful to trans tape for letting me live my life as I wanted, I was also so much more confident and myself when I was wearing it."
